Volunteer for RNC

There are so many ways that a small amount of your time could make a big difference to someone with sight loss. We have two ways for you to get involved depending on where you live and what you would like to do, and of course you may be able to be involved in both! Become a Friend of RNC today!

Volunteering at RNC Volunteer Fundraising for RNC

For those of you who live in and around Hereford there are fantastic opportunities to help people with sight loss at the College. By assisting our students with a variety of tasks, you can help those who are blind or partially sighted to learn everyday skills and to improve their confidence. For a list of volunteer vacancies and to contact us please click here.

Please note that all staff and volunteers who work with our students have to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check before they can start. We can help you to fill in the forms and get the process started as soon as possible, so contact us now to enquire.

For those who live further afield we would love for you to become a regular supporter of RNC. We need your help to spread the word and to help us to raise much needed funds for people with sight loss.

When you become a Friend of RNC and will receive updates about the College and what fundraising activities you could become involved in. We will ensure you have all the information you need to become a fundraiser for RNC.

Be responsible for a collection box - by asking your local shop or pub to collect for RNC from their customers. They may also like to host charity evenings with a quiz to raise further funds.

Be a regular fundraiser in your area by holding events and activities. From a cake sale to a fundraising dinner, whatever you like to do you can do, do it as a fundraiser and help to raise funds and build a group of supporters for RNC. We will support your activity with posters, flyers and advice and also any ideas to get you started.

Spread the word further. Help us to meet more supporters by perhaps introducing us to your employer or your children's school, or maybe you are a member of a group or club who like to get involved in charity work.

Whatever you decide you can do, it will help us enormously to continue our work to provide learning and support to people with sight loss.

Contact us now on 01432 376371 or email to join us and to get started with your fundraising.
